Tell us we are
One address reaches the Goldza Project Team: admin@goldza.co.za. We read everything sent to it. The most useful thing you can send us is a mistake, and the second most useful is a rate that has changed since we recorded it.
Goldza is maintained by Goldza Open Source. It sells no gold and buys no gold, so there is no sales line to reach and nobody here will try to buy your jewellery. Published by The Goldza Project Team. Who publishes this, and what we do and do not claim, is set out on the about page.

Four things worth sending
A figure looks wrong
The fastest way to get something fixed. Tell us the page and the number you are questioning. If a published figure is wrong we correct the page and log the change publicly, with the date and what changed.
You are a business we have written about
If we have named your business and you believe we have it wrong, or that a customer account we quoted misrepresents what happened, write to us. We will publish your response in full alongside the passage it concerns, and correct anything inaccurate. We do not require you to accept our version first, and we do not charge for this.
A buyer rate we published has changed
We record advertised rates on a stated date and they go out of date. If a rate on any page no longer matches what the business publishes, tell us and we will re-check it and note the change.
You want to use our data
The board is free to cite with attribution, and the machine-readable price document is public. If you want to embed a tool or need something we do not already publish, ask.
How we handle a complaint about something we published
We aim to reply within five working days. If the point is factual and you are right, we correct the page and add an entry to the public corrections log, which records every mistake we have made on this site rather than quietly editing and pretending otherwise. If we disagree, we say so and tell you why, and we will still publish your response next to the passage in question if you want that. We do not take pages down in exchange for anything, and we do not accept payment to change or remove coverage.
What we cannot do
We cannot value your jewellery, tell you what a specific item is worth, or recommend a buyer. The calculator works out melt value for any weight and karat, and what buyers actually pay explains how to judge an offer against it. We also cannot give financial or tax advice: tax on selling gold is general information worked from SARS's own published figures, not advice for your situation.
